May was a month to remember, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
The release of Lone Lines & Quiet Echoes has been met with an incredible response, and I’m truly grateful for the support and feedback the book has received so far. Seeing readers connect with the collection and share their thoughts has been both humbling and rewarding. Every message, review, and conversation reminds me why I continue to write and share my work.
The month began with a mini book tour to celebrate the new release, giving me the opportunity to meet readers, new faces, fellow writers, and followers in person. My journey took me from Llangollen to Bewdley in Worcestershire, with both events offering a warm welcome and a wonderfully intimate atmosphere.
There is something special about sharing poetry face-to-face with an audience. Being able to read poems aloud, discuss the inspirations behind them, and hear people's interpretations creates a unique connection. What makes these moments even more rewarding is discovering how different poems resonate with different people. A piece that means one thing to me can evoke an entirely different emotion, memory or meaning in someone else.
The conversations and enthusiasm I encountered at both venues were incredibly heart-warming and made the experience one I will never forget. It was inspiring to meet people who have followed my writing journey, as well as those discovering my work for the very first time. Those shared moments of discussion and reflection are among the most rewarding aspects of being an author.
It is moments like these that remind me why I write—not only to tell stories, but to create connections, inspire others, and build a community where people can come together through the written word. Poetry has a unique ability to bring people together, and these events reinforced just how powerful that connection can be. I left both venues feeling inspired, motivated, and deeply appreciative of everyone who took the time to attend, purchase a copy, or simply stop by for a chat.
Beyond the book tour itself, the continued support for Lone Lines & Quiet Echoes throughout the month has been overwhelming in the best possible way. Seeing the collection find its place in readers' hands and hearing how it has connected with people has been one of the highlights of my year so far.
May has certainly set a high standard, and the journey I am taking with Lone Lines & Quiet Echoes is only just beginning. While September may still be a few months away, it is already shaping up to be an exciting month with plenty to look forward to.
As always, thank you to everyone who has supported my work, attended an event, purchased a book, or shared kind words along the way. Your support means more than you know.
Keep an eye on my social media channels for future updates—I look forward to sharing the next chapter of this journey with you.
