A New Year, A New Book. One Line

Updated: Jan 2

A new year feels like a blank page - fresh, full of potential, and waiting to be written on with purpose. As I begin this blog, I’m excited to share something I’ve been quietly (but passionately) working on: my next poetry collection, Lone Lines & Quiet Echoes. And now, I’m finally ready to reveal a little more with you… eek!

Set to release this April with a book launch event planned as part of Wrexham's Carnival of Words programme. Lone Lines and Quiet Echoes holds everything you’ve come to love in my poetry - threads of Wales, love, reflection, and layered emotion. But this time, I’m taking a creative leap. This book will break away from the structure of my previous collections and invites you into something more distilled... and even a little quirky (and not just with words, more on that soon). But the entire collection is written in monostich - single-line poems. Yes, just one line per piece! But within that line, an adventure. Each poem is crafted to stir your imagination, allowing you, the reader, to interpret, explore and connect. Tiny echoes with deep resonance.

I wanted to challenge myself creatively while offering something new and fresh for those who’ve supported and loved my work from the beginning. Lone Lines & Quiet Echoes is my love letter to minimalism the quiet power of well-chosen words but above all, to the readers by offering something more to them - their own discovery of individual interpretation and meaning - where I begin the journey the readers complete it.

Opening literary worlds through one line.

There’s so much more i'll be sharing in the coming months, but for now thank you for being on this journey with me. I truly can’t wait for you to hold this book in your hands. Until then, take a moment to linger on the book cover - and keep an eye or two out over the coming weeks and months on my socials for updates.

Stay tuned - and stay curious.
